Sam leaned forward, grabbing the chains of her swing in each of his hands before pulling
her over to him - meeting her in the middle. Cameron caught her lower lip
between her teeth and her eyes dropped to his lips, as she hoped - and waited -
for him to kiss her. She'd been yearning to feel his lips on hers since he
walked into the coffee shop and if he didn't do it soon she would take matters
into her own hands.

He leaned a little closer, his lips barely more than an inch from hers and paused. The
scent of soap and fresh linen surrounded her drawing her in. Cameron released
one of the swing chains, trusting Sam to keep her steady and touched the side
of his face, which was perfectly shaven and smooth.

Her eyes dropped again to his lips before closing the distance between them. She sighed as their
lips touched. Cameron released the other chain and pressed the palm of her
second hand to his chest.

She brushed her lips across his and then nipped at his lower lip. He growled softly, a low
feral sound, stirring her arousal as he parted his lips inviting her to explore
more deeply. Her tongue lashed at his lips and when he opened his mouth
slightly, she deepened the kiss. She moaned softly against his mouth as their
tongues touched.

so so good

this is a great story about going after something and finding out there is so much more you can have. Cameron and Sam are two broken people who are just looking to find someone who can love them for the long haul. Cameron however has decided the way to find the love she wants is to have a baby so she places a personal ad for people to discuss being the donor with her. Sam answers this add and find he doesn't just want to get Cameron pregnant he wants to have a baby with her. He is very determined to show Cameron she can have her baby and him too. Great store one I would definitely recommend.

Love this book

This book is so good in the book I seen it like my family story women freaking out if they aren't married with kids. But no thinks about doing it on their own they want the happily ever after but Cameron believes she will not find it but still wants a baby.

Cameron is a very successful club owner curvy sexy and is very strong women that takes care of herself. She didn't grow up with much barely saw her mom as a child because she worked so much so you see. Cameron doesn't have anyone. So when she put out an ad for a donor to have a baby she didn't think a guy like Sam.

Sam is a resident with big student loans but he comes from an awesome family who tight. He answered the ad because he knew how bad people want babies and can't do it he wanted to help. He was adopted so he understands the desire it have a child. But when he goes into the coffee shop to meet her he was so surprised ow he felt toward her..

So the story is beautiful and you have to read it absolutely love it couldn't put it down. Terry Towers did it again made me want more of her books.

A Very Pleasant Surprise!

The story begins with Cameron Seacrest, a woman who has just hit her thirtieth birthday; and although a successful owner of a nightclub, she has realized she is missing one thing: A child. Putting out an ad for the perfect donor - realizing she may not meet Mr. Right anytime soon - she sets up a meeting with a smoky blue-grey eyed hunk called Sam.

The author sets up the meeting and the characters really well, with a great perspective from the males point of view and Camerons point of view. Usually, most authors fail to do one or the other with skill, depending on their sex. But not in this case. There's also a lot of humor and some great sexy moments (before the other 'sexy' moments, I'm sure you know what I mean.) There are also smatterings of rich tension throught the story, which is great, not to mention a fair few twists and turns along the way that kept me involved right up to the end. In short, this is well worth your time. It's so much better than what I had expected, and I'll definitely be reading much more of Miss Towers work!

Krishna Chinthapalli, Clinical Research Fellow, UCL Institute of Neurology, London, UK; Neurology Specialty Registrar, St George's Hospital, London, UK,Nadia Magdalinou, Clinical Research Fellow, UCL Institute of Neurology, London, UK; Neurology Specialty Registrar, St George's Hospital, London, UK,Nicholas Wood, Galton Professor of Genetics UCL, Vice Dean for Research, UCL Faculty of Brain Sciences, UCL Institute of Neurology, London, UK; Honorary Consultant, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London, UK

Krishna Chinthapalli is a Clinical Research Associate for the Epilepsy department at the Institute of Neurology, UCL, UK. From 2009 to 2012 he was Honorary Clinical Fellow at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), and from 2010 until 2014 he was Neurology Specialty Question Group examiner for the Royal College of Physicians. In 2010 he receieved the Annual Governance Day Audit Prize from the NHNN. He has published numerous articles in medical and scientific journals and has spoken at the 29th International Epilepsy Congress, Rome in 2011. His research currently focuses on 'Recruiting patients and families with epilepsy for genome-wide association studies and facial morphometry' at UCL.

Nadia Konstantina Magdalinou is a Clinical Research Associate at the Institute of Neurology, UCL, working with Professor A Lees. From 2010 to 2011, she was a Sub-investigator in a DONIPAD study (testing efficacy of Donepezil in Posterior Cortical Atrophy) and a CONCERT study (trial of Dimebon added to Donepezil in patients with Alzheimer's disease). She has published several articles in scientific journals.

Nicholas Wood is Professor of Neurology and Head of the Department of Molecular Neuroscience, and Galton Professor of Genetics at UCL Institute of Neurology. Until 1999 he was Senior Lecturer od Clinical Neurology at the Institute of Neurology, and Head of Clinical and Molecular Neurogenetics Unit at NHNN. He has been awarded grants from Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council for his research, and has published numerous articles for medical and scientific journals. He is currently on the editorial boards for journals Progress in Neurology and Psychiatry, Neurogenetics and Human genomics. In 1999 he received the Linacre Medal from the Royal College of Physicians, London. He sits on the medical advisory panels of various charities and has been elected to the BRAIN Board of Management. He regularly lectures on the ION/NHNN MSc course in Clinical Neuroscience, has recently been appointed to the Galton Chair of Genetics, and is Research Director of the newly established UCL Genetics Institute.

Not worth it for us...

It was a somewhat interesting read, but of little practical use, beyond the basics (key cards, queen ask and specific kings) for my partner and I. We play precision with lot's of bells and whistles, including Roman key card, so we are not put off by complexity. But the nuances this book provides won't come up often enough to merit the time we'd have to invest. And the idea of playing both 1430 and 3014, depending upon the preceding auction, put me off from page one. I was able to force myself to finish the book, but I can't recommend it to anyone but the most serious players.

Not for solo reading...

In the Introduction, Eddie asks and answers the question: How can you best use this book? His answer: If you don't have a regular partner, you can't; don't even try.

I would add that if you and partner are not willing to take considerable time discussing each topic, agreeing what to include or exclude in your system and practicing your bidding until you've gotten the bugs out, then don't bother either.

That is not to say that solo reading can't be helpful. I studied the book with a regular tournament partner but also play with a number of other people in club games. Each of them know different aspects of RKC and having read through the entire book I am more comfortable adjusting to individual preferences (1430 vs. 3014 vs. using both; incorporating a basic "minorwood" RKC for the minors or Exclusion Blackwood.) So for the curious, feel free to read it cover to cover, but I honestly think without a dedicated partner you can spend your time more fruitfully improving some other aspect of your bridge game.

Required reading for any partnership serious about RKCB, Kickback, or Minorwood

The fundamental methods presented in this book are required reading for any serious partnership that wants to use Roman Keycard Blackwood, Kickback, and/or Minorwood without costly misunderstandings. Very few partnerships are on solid ground when there's a queen ask, opener wants information about kings, or when responder has a void.

If someone asks you whether you play 1430 or 3014, it's a dead giveaway that they don't really understand RKCB. Kantar explains why 1430 and 3014 responses exist and how to use them both according to rules that are based on logic and not difficult to remember.

Some players dislike the book because Kantar goes into an extraordinary level of detail about specific auctions and difficult situations, in which there's a point of diminishing returns. Less serious players can skip the esoterica and choose the level of detail appropriate to their own partnerships. When making those decisions, the use of highlight pens is strongly recommended.

About the Author
The author of The American Deer Hunter killed his first deer when he was only 14 years old, with an old Model 73, 44-40 Winchester. During his lifetime, Sell added greatly to his skill as a hunter and accounted for many more trophies of his ability. He lived in Oregon’s good deer country where he divided his sport between hunting deer and fishing for steelheads. He managed to sandwich between his sports the creation of excellent articles for sports magazines. His days were made complete by fly-tying and reloading ammunition.

Champion deer hunter and writer

The first time I read Francis Sell was in 1968 in the Buffalo NY Public Library. I copied some pages from the book, words of wisdom, and I used the information to bag a few deer. As time passed. I lost the pages. I forgot the author's name but I never forgot how much I enjoyed Sell's lessons on deer hunting. It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I stumbled across the name "Francis Sell" and his books on this website. I was thrilled and ordered two books right away.

When reading Sell ignore the dated information. The deer hunting gems - the facts, information, techniques, stories, knowledge can be applied to deer hunting today. When you read Sell the second time I think you'll find more little gems as your understanding of his techniques are absorbed. When you apply your own experiences in deer hunting to your reading you'll find more gems. For the novice to the experienced hunter the book is like a hunters jewelry store you'll find gems, diamonds and pearls of wisdom.

In this book you won't find information on deer stands or hunting from them because back in those days Sell didn't hunt from deer stands. You're not reading Sell for the modern technical information, you read Sell for his in depth knowledge of deer, hunting approaches, deer habits, guns and ammo.

Amazingly elusively beautiful models

I've never seen a book with photographs of so many beautiful women all in one package. Looking through this book, one get's a feeling of the elusiveness of beauty. All (well most) of the women/girls depicted are very pretty, but you find yourself asking if there is any point to this book other than to show off this anonymous beauty.
While I periodically keep coming back to this book, I long for more. Maybe that's the point of the book. If it is, the book succeeds in piquing my interest.

Snaps, but more

I bought this on a whim, but it surprised me how much this book fascinates me. Without make-up and stylists, these photographs could be just family snaps (and indeed, hilariously, some are). But they show a side of the industry that is hardly ever documented. Some girls are nervous, some outrageous exhibitionists, some can't turn off the uber-model look if they tried. Beautiful.

A simple concept results in a fascinating photo journal

The term "go-see" refers to a certain photo encounter whereby an aspiring model hooks up with a photographer, with the understanding that neither one has a specified commission for the session's work. The model, also called a "go-see," is hoping for the one gig to launch a career; the photographer is hoping to discover the next new "face."
In a simplistic but strikingly revealing book, Juergen Teller has chronicled just under a year's worth of "go-sees" with over 460 photos taken in and around the entrance to his London apartment. Each page has one picture (most often color), the date, and the name of the model. The book is quite heavy (literally) for its size, and is put together with a high-quality cover, binding and paper.
It's easy to get used to perusing books by the top fashion photographers showing the most beautiful women, creative sets, perfect lighting, makeup, etc. This book is MUCH different. I'm turning the pages one by one, looking at face after face: so many walks of life . . . so much expectation . . . so much hope. Who succeeded? Who failed? Even some famous models are in there. Can you find them?
With no set, no makeup, and no special lighting, I can't envision Mr. Teller working very hard to get these shots. It doesn't matter. The variation obtained through the diversity of position, angle, expression, and even the weather, is fantastic. Some of the girls posed, and some hammed it up a little; others just stood there and gazed into the camera. And, what a metaphor the doorway is! This book is a wonderful alternative (and complement) to the high end of modeling and fashion photography publications.
